# Building Snowdesk

> How Snowdesk works and how we built it: avalanche bulletins, the map, weather, routes and trips, with the decisions behind them.

Snowdesk (https://snowdesk.info/) is a web app for ski tourers and
off-piste skiers in the Alps. It shows the avalanche bulletins published by
SLF (Switzerland), ALBINA / EUREGIO (Tyrol, South Tyrol, Trentino) and
Météo-France in full, on a map, alongside weather, routes and trips. This site
explains how it works and why it was built the way it was.
